Although the word āśraya also conveys the same meaning as āśraya-ālambana, it may often be used in the general sense of shelter or support. The word āśraya-ālambana, however, is specifically used to indicate the receptacle of prema as one of the necessary ingredients of rasa. It is not used in any other sense
